My Strat Highway 1 mod I'd like to share (Pic HEAVY)

Hey there. Theoretically there's gonna be some sort of change anytime you make an alteration like that, but is it noticeable? Nah. Had it been something more like a resonance chamber I think there'd be change, but they're filled with pickups and wires, so I don't notice any difference.

    "The Nicest Way"

Hey thanks a lot for breaking it down man! My real drummer is no longer with me because of an inability to show up to a gig on time. One of the main things I'd like to fix is that electric guitar solo that bridges to the end. I'd like it more up front and in your face. Unfortunately, living...

    "The Nicest Way"

Hey there! Drums are midi drums. Now I can't do much in way of changing tempo of this recording (too much time to change, but I'll take it into consideration playing live), but I'm interested in what exactly you're looking for or not hearing in the drum mix. I started with a single tracks for...

    Snare rattle

Very very true. Snare rattle just adds character anyway :) And technically...if you're trying to capture "that moment" the snare rattle contributes (whether subconsciously or not ) to that moment. The Grateful Dead's 'Anthem of the Sun' does a great job of piecing together live recordings...

    Snare rattle

Maybe in your genre of music, but in jazz/improv "grooving off each other" is a very really thing. Cap'n Crunch - Greg is right on all other accounts though. If you're not willing to make a "compromise" you're either going to have to find a new room or deal with it. Or learn voodoo.

Been working hard but would like opinions

Sorry, I feel like all I'm doing is spamming :spank: but anyway... http://www.reverbnation.com/tunepak/3063423 In those last mixes you just couldn't hear each word clearly and that's been addressed. I'm actually really happy with these mixes :) Edit...I wouldn't say these are absolutely...

Been working hard but would like opinions

After I read what RAMI wrote I realized the vocals were still lacking. So 1 cup of coffee deep, I banged out new vocals in a different room, different volume, and they came out great. There wasn't any time to warm up but they came out so much better. Mixing down and will post them...

Been working hard but would like opinions

Hey thanks man...I had no idea about any of that, and actually thought the complete opposite. Someone else had mad a similar suggestion up closer to the top so these new vocals are recorded outside of that stupid "booth" I think I just fail at vocal mixing haha.

Been working hard but would like opinions

Hey guys, I've just finished up the "final" mixes of the 3 songs I posted earlier. My goal was to come up with mixes I was proud of enough to go promote myself with while I work on my new stuff, and I feel like I did just that. These might not be 110% according to Hoyle perfect, however I'm...

Been working hard but would like opinions

Yes sir, same thing. Like I said, I had no idea reaper did that. The concept I guess is that its done to remove pops between tracks? Useful when you need it, but talk about a pain in the effin' ass to go back and take those fades away. ...not fade away...
