I would replace both on every card, but that's the way I do things.
To me it's not the cost but long-term functionality and prevention of duplication of work.
I would check the orig P/N and the one on your relay. May be the same w/an upgrade, etc.
Those relays are hard to find. I would not expect a "deal"!
If you can obtain them that's a "deal"!
$3.00 each is peanuts in scheme of things to get your unit working.
What this person states makes considerable sense. He obviously has had the experience, and he speaks from that experience.
The Maxell person was stroking everyone. He made absolutely no sense to me.
If you think Scotch does not have 2" tape capability then what have then been doing all these...
Alex
They do not look the same and are a different P/N: 5290009400 for the 58. I can't see them clearly on the board on my copy either to advise.
The description of the 58 relay is 24V G2V-282P
I would try to search that on the Digikey site for an answer.
22 series are very easy on which to work, and everything is clearly available especially after you remove the top panel and the case.
A great piece of equipment.
Backing is very dark and almost black.
I could send a good length of it.
Would not surprise me to find it to be 206 or 207.
Say the word and I send you a couple of yards of it on a small roll.
Good points and Beck also made excellent points.
I don't think it's 456, because it does not shed in my hands as did the globs of 456 I recycled.
So I am thinking it's Scotch but certainly could use Beck's sniffer to verify!!!
