sounds coo... i wish the drums would knock harder though. for how gangsta of a beat this sounds like... it has a real polished sound which in this case i dont think works too good with it... like if you had some gritty sounding crunchy snares and kicks... and a rougher sounding hat it would...

just make sure you dont clip with your drums. my method is to usually just normalize the drum... turn the volume on that channel up all the way.... then eq it to make it sound right...

give the drums a little more life to them... change up the pattern and maybe mess with the swing on them... iono i sorta like my drums with a slight touch of funk in em... myspace.com/markpimentel

well.. what i like to do is add a little bit of reverb on my drums... not a lot, but just a tiny bit... to give it character... also, for my snare depending on how i want the sound.. to hit harded i usually turn up the mids and his slightly... to give it some snap.

i like it but i think your drums could have a bit more swagger to em. the snare is okay... for the military effect if thats what you were going for.

stock FL sounds = no no. motif kicks = no no. either you invest a lot of time into sampling your own shit... or you'll end up using the same sounds as 50 million wack fucks out there.

man just go from one of your outs on your mixer into your soundcard of your pc... use an rca to 1/8" adapter to record straight to your pc on audition or whatever. as far as the fleamarket shit... theres an upside and downside about coppin records... they are either collectors that are selling...
