I`m planning to buy some equiptment for home recording and would like to get a handle on which would be better,a pc system or hard disk recorder.I know this subject is open to a lot of debate but I would really appreciate any advice on what pitfalls I may encounter with each of these...
c3000b
We use an old traynor 8200 that belongs to one of our members. I don`t believe it is equipt for phantom power.I saw somw adapters on ebay but don`t know what I should be buying thanks Al
I want to thank all those who responded earlier to a thread I began in which I asked weather the akg c300b or the at 4033 was the better mic.I ended up with the akg c3000b because I found one for 170 bucks (used but in great shape). Now I have another question to do with phantom power...
I`m wondering if anyone can shed any light on which mic would be better, the at-4033 or the akg c-3000b.I hear of a lot of people liking the 4033 but I`ve never used one. However I did get close to the c-3000b and was quite impressed.they seem to both have about the same specs. thanks Al
I`m thinking of doing some home recording.I was wondering which way would be best.....1,pc-based with soundcard ,software and break out box or.....2, hd recorder (say the vs 1880).also since I will be doing mostly analog with a mike am I really better off to spend the extra money on 24-bit a/d...
I`m absolutly new to recording, My band has decided to try home recording and I`am the unfortunate assigned to figure out what we are going to need.From what I`ve seen the 1880 or 890 sounds pretty good(24 bit a/d d/a).I know we need decent mikes and monitors, a roland cd burner would be best...
