Input 1 and 2 on the MOTU are line level and Mic level (hybrid nutrik connectors) I'm using xlr output on MP20 to xlr input on MOTU. There isn't a line out (1/4") per say............on the MP20 but I could use effect send i guess. Do you think that would be better?

It was more so by accident on the overheads I realized after one of the phase buttons on the presonus was checked. As far as the toms it seemed when I flipped the switch on one or the other the sound got fuller, maybe just me:o

Yah I was a little vague there......We sat down with a couple guys that have done quite a few recording over the years to figure out with what we had for drums mic's room ect....... could we get the snare sound to where we wanted it...over all they thought we could get there with minimal effort...

The MXL 991 is being used for the snare right now and your right its awesome. To tell you the truth When I was messing around a little with the scratch track I ended up almost eliminating the top snare's top mic from the mix completely the sound of the 991 as a bottome snare mic is great
