If you have the hat recorded on a seperate track, you might try flippin that track out of phase and using it to cancel the abundance of hat on the other tracks. Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't, but it might be worth a try.

If you must...If all mixes are the same, you only need 1 transmitter. This, however, is not a likely situation. If you think you've got volume wars with wedges, just wait 'till you try this!

You might also try adding some (approx.) 4k to the kick to make it a bit more defined in the mix?

Don't know 'bout CW PRO 8, but in lots of software I've seen you just select the portion of the wave you want to delete, either right click on the portion or click the edit drop down menu, and select cut. Give that a whirl friend!

I've got nothing against XP, but I do believe that for what little your going to gain by upgrading (if anything) that money could be better spent on other studio toys. (ie mics, pres, etc., etc.) :D
