"save loop files at project tempo"

Anybody had any luck with this command. I want to save acid loops on my windows machine and import them into protools LE (on a separate mac machine). Will this command work? How does acid know what the tempo is? Will this only work if the programs are on the same machine? Thanks

    One hits on Acid

Thanks guys, I will try that. I was kind of afraid you would tell me it could't be done. Really looking forward to getting into this deeper (so expect more "I'm freakin lost" posts).

    One hits on Acid

I just installed Acid Pro and the manual is pretty skimpy. I want to know hoe to insert a "one-hit" loop in a measure at a position different than the 1st beat. I try to put it in with the pencil, but the hit, lets say a kick drum, only plays the first beat. I thought I could put it anywhere...

I updated my d16 hard drive myself

RSTC: My drive is working great. Actually less noisy than the original, but still grunts and groans a little. I haven't loaded any MP3s yet, but recently got Soundforge Siren which (I think) will allow me to do so. I have been doing alot of recording with my friends. We all wrote a couple...

    Amen

Or shall I say "damn straight". I would go for that. I've been posting d16 stuff for a while. It was kind of lonely at first, but has picked up some. I agree with the d1600 thoughts. I think korg will soon be seen as one of the better stand-alones, instead of the oddball. Really, mostly...

Anyone using Delta 1010 on mac? (come on - I'm talking to you!!)

I have a mac g4 400mhz and a delta 1010. I need some basic recording software and I am thinking of running cakewalk metro 5.0. I don't want to wrestle with logic audio's 1,000 page manual yet, and it would seem odd to try MOTU DP since I already have a Delta soundcard. Protools won't get ANY...

Is cakewalk metro 5.0 for mac a dead end?

I have a mac g4 400 mhz and a delta 1010 soundcard. I want to try Metro 5.0 as software. Anybody know how well it works. Also, does anybody know how many tracks can be recorded at once? Can PA convert AIF file from Metro into wav files? Can PA 9.0 save as an AIF file? Lots of questions...

I updated my d16 hard drive myself

Yes, I did the thing that Korg denies could be done. I ordered a 6 gig drive with the same specs as the older drive, except it was 6 gigs instead of the original 2.1 gigs. I ordered it from mobile planet - model #mk6411mat. It was pricey at over $200, but after losing 2 hours of recording...

    D16 questions

When I bounce to tracks 1/2 before burning, I usually have something on 1/2 that is panned hard left/hard right anyway, ie stereo guitar track or drum overheads. You want the final 1/2 tracks to be hard left/hard right anyway. Make sense?

    Delta 1010 on mac g4

I have a mac g4 400mhz that I want to start using for recording. I bought an M-Audio delta 1010 to use as In/Out, but i'm not sure how well it will work on mac platform. It was several hundred dollars cheaper than MOTU 2408 and I chose not to go with Digidesign digi001 for other reasons...

    cheap headphones

For cheap monitoring, AKG K66 for $39 do fine for me.

    D16 "Mastering"

Try using the final effect "stereo multiband limiter" in the master effects page. It seems to pump everything up. Also you can normalize your tracks to bring everything up to the maximum level possible.

    dbx?

Use the dbx. Before I went digital I recorded lots of stuff on my yamaha mt50 four track cassette. Sometimes I used the dbx, sometimes not. When I got the korg d16, I transfered all of it (in four tracks) to the d16. The stuff recorded with dbx sounded not so bad. The stuff without the dbx...

    D-16 Burners

Now this is cool Westermane, I found this cool post on the korg d16 bbs on egroups.com. This guy has evidently tested lots of cdr burners on the d16. He says he is the product support guy for Korg Canada. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KorgD16/message/657 Record and be happy. When you...

    D-16 Burners

Westermane, I looked at my owner's manual and it is for a yamaha crw8424S. I belive when I ordered it, it was listed as the 8424SX. I think the "X" means they put it into a generic external case. What you are experiencing is the unstoppable march of progress. The 8424 is probably no longer...

Updating D16 hard drive. I'm doing it myself!

Supposedly the d16 will ask you if you want to initialize when you fire it up after the install. The operating system is independent of the hard drive.

9 Drum Tracks in Two Days... remote drum recording...

Blue Bear Sound, Could you tell us how you placed the overheads. Do you use x/y pattern or other? In front or behind? How high (probably not much in basement)? I am just starting to use the NT3's that I got recently for overheads and I haven't settled on what I like best. One side question...

Updating D16 hard drive. I'm doing it myself!

Just to let any d16 users out there know. I got tired of Korg telling me that the HDD on the d16 can't be updated. Using info found on other sites I ordered a 6 gig laptop disk with similar specs to the original 2.1 gig drive. I hope it works, because these size drives are getting harder to...

    Better of the two? AT4033/NT1

I think it depends alot on your studio also. I borrowed a friend's 4033 last month before I got my NT1. I don't have a vocal booth in my basement studio. It seemed like the 4033 didn't sound as good without the booth. Picked up everything ie room reflections, hard drive noise, etc. I know...
