What Digital Audio Workstation do you use?

Yeh, my friend is a Cubase user and he said he tried it out and was decently impressed with it...but had just been using Cubase too long to make the switch haha. Like I said, it's good for me and what I do...until I win the musicians friend $100k sweepstakes and I can buy all the gear I want!! :D

    FS: Hollowbody and AC15CC1

Dang! I was scratching cash together to get the guitar. I've been searching for a decent priced (first) hollowbody to see if I liked em. Oh well...glad it found a good home.

Build my home live studio.i need some advices

I definitely second the "if you're jamming, get the mics as close as possible" theory.

Which mixer for recording drum mics???

There may be something more in your price range, but I only have experience in presonus products. Mainly because I've researched them to death and my friend uses them. I'll look around at some gear sites later and get you some more info after work.

reaper recording levels low on playback

Haha...not too sure myself what the problem is here. Me and my buddy were lyaing down some tracks yesterday and while setting the pre-recording levels, the mic was working fine. Hit record....nothing. Haha...crazy stuff just happens. Have you tried the Reaper forums to see if it has happened to...

Build my home live studio.i need some advices

Now we're getting into territory that I'm unfamiliar with haha, but a few things that I (think) I know about amp placement. You generally want the amp to face the larger part of the room and have the back away from the wall. Example... I...

Build my home live studio.i need some advices

Ok, you've started to do room treatment, I know that is what most people suggest is one of the best things to do at the top of the list. Also, I'm still confused as to whether you have an interface or not. If so then you need to invest in a couple of SM57 mics to get you going, and when you have...

reaper recording levels low on playback

Is it not playing back as lound "sound-wise"? Or is it a "I'm looking at the levels pre- and post-recording and they aren't matching up? Edit: Also, have you had this type, or any problems with your current set-up before?

Which mixer for recording drum mics???

Here is the Firepod link at musicians friend. I don't know if they do internation sales or not, but Im sure someone accross the pond sells them. http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/PreSonus-FP10-10x10-FireWire-Interface-Firepod?sku=242036 It is a little over your budget, but like I...

Which mixer for recording drum mics???

If you run mics > mixer > interface, all the drum "tracks" will be on one track. You wont have any way of editing individual drums sounds. I think your best bet would be to cut your mic count from 7 to 4-5, sell your current interface, and use the 250 that you had saved up and go buy a Firepod...

Build my home live studio.i need some advices

First of all, welcome to the forums. Secondly...umm, I'm not quite sure I understand your question. Are you asking whether you need more equipment or where to place things in the room? Or both? Lol. I think it will be easier to answer your questions if you tell us what kind of equipment you...

    Replacement Pickup?

Ahh ok. Well, if you wanna sell the "POS" to me, I'll be glad to take it off your hands since you don't like it too well. Haha. They just don't make em like they used to...a 1980 Fender (even a Japanese one) is a great guitar...unless it's been abused. But irregardless, if you're absolutely sure...
