    Show me your pedalboard!

This is the first time in my guitar playing life that I've ever had a "board". I managed to find one on Kijiji (the Canadian equivalent of Craigslist) in the exact dimensions I needed (for only $65). Custom sized (about 33" wide X 24" deep) it would have cost me well over $250 to have one made...

    les paul custom classic

Previous owner wrapped the strings - I've since gone back to threading the strings through the tailpiece normally.

    les paul custom classic

Happy to see someone else diggin' on the Custom Classic. I received a wine red one from my wife for my 50th birthday in October ... I think it's one of the best buys in its price range out there. The baked maple fretboard is much darker than the shots on the Gibson site, and feels less like...

    Epiphone DOT

For some reason, the tailpiece looks crooked. Maybe it's just the angle of the photo, but something looks off. However, if you like it, and it plays well, who cares. I'd like one too (although, I am not a sunburst guy, I'd prefer a solid colour). Enjoy!

    New Axe !

Well, I have just been advised that my friend has received this guitar, and the word is ..... Awesome. I am so happy, as it was pretty great to have in my possession for a few days. Gonna have to get one for myself. The ebony FB was quite the treat - I wasn't the biggest strat fan, but this...

    New Axe !

Well, sort of... I have a buddy in Canada who's been looking for a new guitar, and there's so much available down here on Craigslist, that I've been keeping my eye out. Well, I just got him his new guitar - a '94 US Ultra Strat. Flame maple cap(s) on alder, Ebony board w/ MOP markers, LSR roller...

    Good tuner for Intonation?

As best I can. Am a bit of a hack, but I can usually set them up to my liking. Always a bit of trial and error, particularly if I'm changing string gauges. I would not want to do setups for others, that's for sure. It's a bit fun, as I get out of my comfort zone, and learn something new by...

    Good tuner for Intonation?

If you want a good tuner, Lou, you can't beat a Peterson. I've got a Strobostomp, and it's by far the best tuner I've ever owned. A bit more expensive than other consumer tuners, but not unreasonable. And it's fun to look at.

Guitar Pickups such as the Roland GK-3 able to connect through MIDI to a sequencer?

You need a converter to take the signal from the GK-3 and convert it to MIDI. Whether that's a full blown synth like a GR 50 or just a simple converter like the GI-20, it's still required. There are pickup systems less expensive than Roland for this, that may do MIDI directly, not sure what is...

    Recommend a good looper

Well, for kicks I read this thread through the holidays. Never knew what a looper (loop station, Jam Man, etc) was, so I was enlightened. And intrigued. And I had Christmas money. And there was one listed on Craigslist. And it was virtually brand new. And the price was quite reasonable. And...

OK, so I've had this for a year. It's an awesome axe, but I've had my headless guitar fix satisfied. Just doesn't do it for me. I've got it up on CL, but if anyone here is interested, I'll cut the price for an HR member. Am asking $700 locally - make me an offer if you're interested. I can see...

    Lefty strat converted to righty

I always used to try playing my friends left handed guitars upside down. It's actually quite an interesting thing to do - you end up with some pretty cool licks when you flip your brain upside down like that. Hell, maybe I'll buy it and not even modify it !

    Lefty strat converted to righty

Been thinking about doing this for a while. Mainly, I like strats, but hate the placement of the volume knob. I tried a buddy's lefty, and found that upside down, the volume knob was out of the way, but still reachable. I like the idea of the whammy on top, too. There's a MIM strat on CL for...
