    AT8449 shock mount (for AT4040, AT4050, and AT4033)

    Does anyone know where to get one for mega cheap? $80 is a tad bit too much for my liking. I want this shock specifically because I recently purchased a second AT4050 without a shock mount, and my first one came with the AT8449 ring shock.

    Ever done XY with a pair of LDC?

    That's one of the ways that I tried it before deciding that I felt too weird about it. I guess I was just so used to seeing diagrams of SDCs laying directly on top of each other that I assumed I wouldn't get this kind of result from LDCs with their capsules being caged by a big metal filter...

    LDCs in an XY pattern?

    I'm curious as to how everyone here has used their LDCs as stereo pairs, specifically with drum overheads. That's what got me thinking "how would an XY pattern work?". Is it the same way as with SDCs but chunkier and more awkward looking? Does anyone have a picture of their stereo LDC setup?
