I purchased one of the ShinyBox 46L ribbons a while back ...I'm still in awe of the sound of my 4x10 Marshall cab recorded/monitored through it! Additionally, ShinyBox is a one-man operation, so you can actually contact the man who does the work himself if you have *any* questions. :cool...

The mics look interesting, however changing the tube in the CM-2 Toob Mic would be a bit of a pain as it looks as if the tube itself is soldered in, rather than having a plug-in base. -mr moon

Actually I just picked up a used Samson C-Que8 and I think it rocks ...well, for the price anyways! The LEFT input on the C-Que8 is the mono input; it will distribute it to both left and right if you plug a mono source into it. SOS review of it (they liked it)...
