Use you can use either for when your mixing. I'd look for the mastering pre set if your going to use a pre set when mastering. Alot pre sets are good guidelines IMO not perfect but alot easier to tweak starting from a default setting. But since this is music and not visual aid use your EARS...

You need MIXING SKILLS....and the proper tools to accomplish mixing

I don't think i've ever heard/read someone say that Adams and Genelecs sounds similar. Its usually "Adams Kick the Genelecs azz" or something to that effect...that right there seems a lil suspect but I don't have experience with either so you could be right...

I think the wharfe's are less forgiving then the Yorkies but I had passives with a shitty amp (Samson servo 260) and never compared them side by side

pre amp is just that PRE AMPLIFICATION before it HITS(key word BEFORE) tape/HD... now answer your own question.... there are a bunch of plugs that can color the sound like one of those virtual amps like amplitube or Rock amp legends by Bluetube

FYI the portico isn't a wallwart but a 'Boa' config. Theres the wall wart type thing but it still terminates to a regular plug and all the talk about something sucking or whatever and not actually hearing the unit is the talk of fools

If your a novice and have a sh!tty room....very beneficial...but will cost more $$$ then just mastering a stereo version to..

Yea just make sure to set your firepod to slave to the SPDIF clock...or if it has a BNC wordclock connector use that instead.

well what are you waiting for? On a side note the passive ATTY is a must have with the MP2 so you can drive those lovely tubes!

you will be pleasantly shocked when you compare the mp2's DI to the others. :D

the 1010 converters are supposed to be slighty better then the other delta's i think because of the dedicated power source
