Oh wow, they have the aluminum blocks in now! Sweet! I've got the older wooden blocks, but haven't had any problems out of them, both the 1/4" and 1/2" sizes. I've bought a handful of things from Splicit and would definitely recommend them.

If I'm correct, you can just pick up a USB 2.0 cable from your local electronics store. It's probably got the "mini-USB" end on it which plugs into the 122. Seemed to be on just about everything for the past few years as all of the really new stuff has a "micro USB" connector.

I'm not familiar with the mkIII version (as I've only got the mkII), but Tascam should have them for less than $80, I would imagine. Offhand, all I can say is that you should make sure the polarity and voltage are exactly correct, and the amperage should be the same or more than a factory...
