A couple of things...1) I shot a small MOV file and when I imported into C-7 it came in upside down and I can find no way to flip it. The original MOV file is fine but the CPR file is inverted. 2) There are no options for exporting video files and choosing the file type to export.....I've...
WOW!!!..every day is like a brand new world for me....OK CD-R it is then...glad I haven't sent many out so far....can consumer CD players/car stereos and the like read WAV files...as you know,Cubase has several file types to export and choosing the best one is just as easy as choosing the worst...
I used a CD-RW....I select "treat as CD Audio" instead of "treat as USB".....what's the problem with burning MP3 to a CD? I used Windows Media Player to burn the files and have done so for years with no problems.....this is the first time the files couldn't be read (that I'm aware of)....still...
Hi, I just finished a CD with MP3 format sounds exported from Cubase 7 running on a PC. So far, I have had two people tell me that it doesn't play on their home machines but, does OK in the car. I think one of the machines is a Mac laptop and I know that jpegs put together on a Mac (burned to a...

Jimmy, very helpful...I've done a couple of things but, nothing like that guideline indicates....Chili, was unaware of the protocols for threads...I just saw a title that said "Latency" and I figured Hmmmmmmmm sounds like a good place to go for answers....and I was right...thanks again Jimmy
First, I'll "fess-up"!! I purchased this magnificent piece of equipment without knowing two very important pieces of information which I will share with you. 1) The mixer connects to your DAW via firewire 2) My AUSU notebook doesn't have the physical space for a firewire port card soooooo...I...
SPEAKING OF LATENCY....I've got a 2 mic setup on an acoustic piano...that's it....mics/Steinberg UR44/Cubase 7/WIN7.64bit.3.78G useable memory....I've been getting dropouts on one of both tracks and have had to increase the sample rate from 128 to 384 to stop it. What's going on...
I purchased the full blown version of Elements 7. When I try to open the HALion reverb inserts I get a pop-up telling me there's a licence issue (??)......when I click on the LICENSE tab, none of the licenses are "selectable"....the RETRY button is equally ineffective.....sometimes when I close...
WHEW!!!!....thanks to all y'all....if you ever get near Houston then give me a shout and I'll cook up a mess of reeyubs and we'll have a party!!....One of the respondents mentioned compression as a way of knocking down the offending high-energy peaks....I have gone into a project and zoomed in...
I've got 2 mics on a grand piano...they go into a Steinberg UR44 interface (4 I/O plus phantom power) which connects to my computer (Cubase)....the "mixer" is a digital one built into Cubase....as I mentioned in my original post, I've pulled the main fader down so I can keep the two mic faders...
just finished a rather raucus boogie-woogie .....2 mics on one piano....on playback the more "ambitious" parts jump over the "0" mark...OK so I back off the main ST OUT fader but leave the two mic IN faders as far up as I can get them without either of them approaching the dreaded...
I've been burned badly by some of the free SFX sites, picking up browser hijackers and other unwanted nastiness. Once I had to power wash my hard drive and it took over a week to get everything reinstalled, reregistered and working properly. A ROYAL pain in the drain. Does anyone have a site...
First off, I'll 'fess-up. I purchased this jewel without knowing to very important pieces of information which I will share with you now. 1) It uses firewire to connect to your computer 2) an ASUS notebook doesn't have the physical room to install a firewire port card. OK, now you've learned...
ALSO NEED HELP!
I just bought the Yamaha n8 mixer that uses firewire to connect to my computer ....however, my ASUS notebook has no physical room for a firewire card. Yamaha suggested the Steinberg UR22 interface to "make things right" so I bought one. Now I can't seem to get it all...
Thanks Rob, I've got the proficiency, good mics and a nice room so I'll go that route. I use compression, EQ and reverb to change the sound of the piano to better match the mood of the project e.g, honkey tonk Vs concert hall and the like. Still lurning

Opinions Please....I am doing solo piano work with a Yamaha Disklavier (acoustic piano with a digital component) that creates MIDI files and saves them to a floppy. To get these files into CUbase I can, 1) play them through the mics -> Yamaha n8 mixer -> premp-> Cubase or 2) import the MIDI...

Jimmy, welcome to my life where everyday is a brand new world for me!!...I actually just searched on this site, using various combos of keywords before I landed on this post...I was unaware of the antiquity of the thread. My question remains unanswered as of yet, could it be that all of the...
