It sounds good to me dude. It's a little bit cilppy, distorted...Ableton live ? The bass levels are managed well though considering this and that panning you're talking about, sounds fine to me mate. I like the melody too...I would just turn your faders down abit...get everything below 0.02...

No...you use a compressor for any instrument depending on wether it needs compressing or not. You also use a compressor on the entire mix, again, depending on wether you need to or not. My advice is, forget buying a compressor until you know and understand what it is and how to use it. Only...
