There shouldn't be any noticeable latency with wireless phones. I have a set of uber cheapo wireless cans that I've used for tracking away from the console. Worked just fine.

I think after considering the uber acceleration of technology in the recording fields, a 16 track analog recorder could very easily be considered "vintage". What a cool machine tho....I miss those analog days now that I have gone over to the dark side.:D
