    No More Waves

I'm not sure why you should spend extra bucks on the dongle? It should be included in the package... or at least, mine came with it... Sure I HATE to use dongle, but Waves quality worth the pain (re-authorization, CPU tax, etc...). Hey, have you considered card based plugins (TC powercore...

    Lean Clean Audio Folder

    Sysex question

Hi Rock Star :) Reading your post, I don't think you need to set sysex. In most case, you don't need to send Sysex to use particular device. Changing bank / program can be done in track setting on the left field. Cakewalk's "Roland GS dump" is actualy nothing but lines of message sent to Roland...

    Control Surfaces with SONAR

Once ther was Roland Studio Package Pro, now it's discontinued. But if you like, you can buy some new Roland SI-24 for ~$250, and look for used Roland RPC-1 card (Or M-Audio R-Bus) on eBay for about same price... Connect 'em with RBUS cable. If you're lucky, for total ~$500 you'll get pretty...

    recording poppy/clicky soundcard 1010lt

    1. Check your hardware in Control Panel, and don't let your soundcard shares IRQ with other devices. 2. Update your drivers! Soundcard, AGP, IDE, mobo, etc... 3. Put dual HD. One for OS/Progs and the other for audio / recording. Put them on different IDE cable. Make sure they're at least...

    Sonar:the next generation.

...it's dead already, pal :D But actualy, I agree with Ron Kuper (Cakewalk Vice President), I think what we need next is a way to make the tool seem almost invisible, so the user can go from idea to realization with minimal effort or friction. ;) Jaymz

wrong notes on the screen although playing the right note

DOH! :p Back then, I ever forgot to reset the +4 transpose on stage, and I took the intro. My singer staring at me as he couldn't reach the high notes. Then the band was coming all of the sudden in the middle of the song.... What a youth... :p :D They should invent transpose beeper alarm...

Click Track ... MIDI's too slow, will Audio tie up RAM/CPU?

Interesting thread! :) Agree with Chuck, it's Microsoft GS synth's latency. Theres advantage of using Giga machine connected with MIDIoverLAN to be "MIDI click machine", but from my experience so far, it will give you another latency problem (not realy sync'd) if you try to sync it from the...

    VST Adapter doesn't work

What dachay said... You need to re-run the VST adapter to scan new installed VST before starting HS. Make sure adapter scans folder C:\Program files\Steinberg\VSTplugins, since most VST mostly installed there by default. ;) Jaymz

    how to use piano roll?

The matrix is pitch X time. Select "Draw" (pencil) to enter MIDI note in the line. You can also decrease / increase note's length by draging the tail of the note. Erase them when you want with "Erase" tool. There's a field on the bottom to alter velocity, controler, etc. (deppend on how you set...
