Just wondering how the Motu 828 mkII sizes up against the firepod. Im assuming the Motu will win but why? Less latency issues? Better pre amps?
Speaking of pre amps, is there a great difference?

just wondering what people used for snare (and toms i guess) mics. I was thinking of getting the drum mic holders that clasp onto the shell. Do they have any problems (vibrations doing weird things etc) or are they generally pretty similar to having the mic on a stand?

just noticing, the drums are all on the right channel? quite a weird feeling listening to it. and the drum fill around 1:10 isnt great but that doesnt help youre mixing. and listen to people who know what theyre talking about for EQ. i dont.... although the mix does seem muddy...

im currently selling off a whole bunch of gear, including my old 8 track, to go into some nice computer recording. What i looking at getting so far (mic wise) is as follows. BTW im going to be recording mostly my band (2 guitar, bass, keys and kit)

not that id know too much but there seems something so slightly off with the kick and snare... guitars and vocals i thought sounded great, wouldn't touch much if anything there.

looks like the firepod is the pick of the litter. another question, how does the firepod go about playback. that is, if i have tracks recorded and am over dubbing, do i need an out from my soundcard, into the firepod to hear whats already recorded? I dont know if im asking the question right, id...
