    The Wolves Of Fading

The guitar could maybe be pushed back and the vocals pulled forward a little, not a lot in it. Are they the virtual backing lady singers you've engaged?

    The Who?

Ha! Good version. I didn't sense anything untoward with the snare choice. Let's hear you do a version of Slip Kid :)

    Rock On cover

Been mulling over trying a cover version of the David Essex classic Rock On and Lazerbeakshiek's thread got me motivated. The track is so weirdly cool. For a start how can you have a song called Rock On with no drums or guitars? Anyway I tried to stay close to the original ethos, within the...

    Still clowning around

That's not bad! Was thinking of trying a version of this one myself. Just googled & Def Leppard & Pumpkins have covered it. Who knew?

    Sacred Cow

The low end rumble is probably the 2nd bass :D Probably fixable with some surgical EQ. Cheers Trip

    Sacred Cow

There are 2 bass guitars along with the synth bass so yes its a size 44 bottom trying to find room in size 36 jeans. Thanks for the spin mark

    Delighted

Virtual music :D Nice progressions, although they wander around a bit

I Saw the Light (Hank Williams Cover)

Don't know the original but this version sounds very worthy. Good performances and nice open recording, no rumbles or intrusive noises. I have the same problem with loudness. Best way I've found is turn up the source guitar, mic preamp and get a good level into your DAW

    The Flying Dutchman

Indeed. Floyd agogo. Nice guitars and totally appropriate atmospherics. Takes me back

    Sincerity

So I googled Boss VE8, looks like a guitar+vocal processor with a harmony. Very clean sounding did you use the harmony and/or other effects on it?

    Sacred Cow

This is the 4th track on our EP It's kind of a dense mix - does it have enough clarity?

NightError … new original tune (rock, alternative, soft punk?!)

Solid mix for sure. Toms have a nice deep tone. Everything is sitting well & nicely balanced. Good job

    Sonder

I like it, good progressions, interesting sounds, sonically satisfying

    Beg & Heal (mastered)

Sounds pristine. Punchy and clear. Good track too, worth the ME investment

    Manslick - Come Home

Yeh like Placebo's Pure Morning is basically the same drone throughout

Where Have All The Cowboys Gone...

Nice riff, the vocal is great and I love the wah. Guitar tone has a bit of a hollow DI rasp to it. If Korn were playing this, what would it sound like :D? Good jam, nice job

    Manslick - Come Home

Yep melody working well with the piano. Where to from here?

    Bye Bye Love (The Cars)

Overall impression is that it sounds a bit thin, like it's all been severely hi passed. Good version though, very accurate, if you could get some beef into the kick, bass and guitar it would hit harder like the original did

Idea don't know if it's good or needs to be tossed

Progression is a bit predictable but the sounds are pleasingly chaotic

    Stained

We can always do another mix but I'd need to retrack the guitar to remove the reverb. Sliding the drums and bass forward is interesting, I might play around with that. Thanks for the suggestion ** OK I put a another mix with the drums and bass nudged forward. This was as far as it would go...
