What do you use to put your music out there? - Most of the services are getting better at IDing usage and payment (as small as it might be) - for example my Daughters EP of Covers has generated $3000 over the last year - and she has over 1.5 million views on the Socials, YouTube, Spotify, Apple...

I like it - solid job - I hear Weazer and The Cult mixed in - some things about it though - sounds very dated like a 90s mix -for me the vocals need to be raised up - and the guitars brought back down a tad - and the Doubling Ozzy type sound on the vocals is not good - makes it sound out of tune...

Alone - The 414 was the best sounding - the MXL 76 was good sounding but not as thick and round as the 414 - and like you I didn’t care for the 4033 at all. In the mix and with reverb - 414 and the MXL 76 were almost tied - the 4033 sounded better in the mix because it stood out a little bit...

If I was using a Hardware Compressor I would get the Behringer 369 Precision Stereo Compressor - decent piece of kit - very inexpensive on the used market too.

Everything sounds like it has a got a reverb coating on it - nothing is in the mix exactly - bass is way to loose - Sound Effects are to present to me - you need to give everything room.

The adjusted Mix is pretty good - the vocals are a bit buried though - and the guitar(s) is louder - I think becuase you pulled the compression back a bit - I still think if you pulled the arpeggiated keyboard out during the verse if would stand out more - and the background vocal that is...

Like the song - and like Muse it is compressed as hell - I can’t tell if i like it or not - the Arpeggiated Keyboard part annoys me after it plays for a full minute - it works as background to the ‘Static Bliss ‘ chorus part through - and on the fade out with the guitars - quite cool.

Cool start - I know what you mean about the slide part - it isn’t quite locking in - but at the same time I can’t hear what would lock in - I have to think about it for a while - BTW When you hit the Bridge Chorus part you aren’t singing with the same confidence that you did in the first part...

It seems odd that the problem is within Reaper - maybe your settings are odd for some reason - maybe. you could post Screen Shots of the Reaper Settings.

It’s a style to me - and one I don’t hear often enough - Good song - what was your vocal chain?

I guess you could call it an effect - it’s more a technique to spread the audio your recording between the sides - such as Acoustic instruments.

Yeah I was being dumb - I forgot to duplicate the track and invert one side.

I don’t understand - the CAD file is Mono - how did you get a stereo track out of the mono file?

That’ would make it not link - how dose the sound get turned down?

Why would a broken switch make channel 2 quieter than channel 1?

Without seeing it - the Rane's electronics are failing in Channel 2 - and the way you fix is opening the box and testing the components.
