    MS16 Calabration

I've read lots of articles on this procedure. Including the DIY article in the sticky in this forum. I have learned, I probably need a duel trace and two channel oscilloscope. some kind of dedicated oscillator, and probably an AF meter according to the MS16 manual. And of course an alignment...

Tascam M600 console VU meter bulb

 Mat electronics has a min. order of $25.00..I'm a cheap skate! As to the previous owner, He only said everything was in good shape. And all in all, I agree. Considering the age of these guys. I paid $1600 for everything. I didn't really want the console, but...it was a package deal. I...

Tascam M600 console VU meter bulb

Ghost, Dynamic Technology Group As you can see, this supplier offers no, 6V, lamps. These axial bulbs are pretty hard to find. I'm pretty sure, and have read that they probably aren't the 12 v variety. But don't know. I did send the Meter PCB picture to the supplier to determine the actual...

    Tascam M600's simplest form!

Totally agree! I was lost without the suggested PB connections diagrams! In the bundle of things that came with the MS16 and M-600 were two cables made-up by a previous owner. One that I will call cable "A" is a D-sub 25 one end to- 2-XLR male, 2-RCA male, the other. The other I'll call "B"...

    Tascam M600's simplest form!

Patchbay layout I've got the patchbays connected as follows. I still don't get a signal through a condenser Mic. to any XLR inputs on the rear of the board. I do have the phantom power switch engaged. I also don't know exactly what to do with the two fold-back cables hanging from PB # 1 and I...
