I want to start recording using a firebox in cubase. Do I need to have both monitors and headphones plugged in to be able to record. Another impatiently stupid question: How do I replay what I've recorded?

It seems I only got power cords with my KRK RP5 monitors. Do I use a cord that came with my firebox to hook it up?

i'm new to recording software. do you use propak software suite for your recordings (drum loops, effects, etc.?), or can you just do all of that using cubase only? is fruityloops better for creating drum tracks? thanks.

I want to get an idea of the sound quality of a cassette recorder like a Tascam Portastudio MKII or a 488 so I'll know if I want to get one for demos.
