If you could only have one of these recording tools, which would you choose?

Has anyone here taken one of these for a test drive yet? An article in a recent issue of Guitar World makes them appear to be pretty sweet, but the MSRP is higher than I would have expected (low 3's). Any feedback appreciated. Thx. (Sorry if this has already been covered here.)

First, my disclaimer: I'm not big on learning guitar from instructional videos. But, I'm tempted to purchase the Lukather DVD and looking for feeback here from anyone who's seen it. I'm not so much interested in picking technique, gear, or specific tunes. I want to understand what he's doing...

If you had a choice between a hardtail or a Wilkinson tremolo, which would you get?

Can someone plesae explain to me how to sync a DR-670 with a BR-1180, in such a way that I won't have to get a headache? The goal is using the BR to control the DR. :confused:

One thing I don't like about a locking tremolo is the extra effort (& time) needed to change to alternate tunings. I'm thinking about just leaving it unlocked. Sure, the instrument probably won't stay in tune as well, but are there any other potential issues?

We are buying a new house, new construction, and all of my recording will now happen in the downstairs den. So I'm charged with the task of selecting treatment for the walls & ceiling that the wife will approve of, both acoustically, and decoratively. Suggestions?

Not new to recording, but I am new to drum machines. I just picked up a DR670 and, frankly, am overwhelmed with the selection of drum sounds. In creating a drum kit, I should simply let my ears guide my selection. But there are so many, my ears get numb after a while. What is your method...

I just picked up a DR-670. (What a cool machine!). When recording the drum machine to a BR1180, is there any benefit to using MIDI?
