Musicians friend sells a Behringer 4 channel mixer (2 xlr, 2 stero line) for $110. Would this give me better mic pre's and eq than my Tascam 414 cassette machine? It seems like it could be very beneficial, especially for the price. Anyone?

You probably get this a lot....but between the Alesis sr16, Boss 770, and Boss Dr5, which would you recommend for good sounds, flexability, etc. All around goodness...and keep in mind that the Boss's are $379 and the Alesis is often on sale for $199....

I'm gonna buy a mic used first and foremost for vocals, but it will also be used for any and everything else. Musicians Friend has the Rode NT1 on sale for $199, and the AKG C3000 on sale for $199. What would you afficianados recommend?

I am about to spend a lot of money (to someone who only made 8k last year) on a guitar. My requirements are that it has good intonation, and STAYS IN TUNE!!!! I can get a Gibson SL Les Paul for $600, or a Rick for $1k. Suggestions? It will usually be a distorted sound. Thanks
