I am looking to get a extra mic, I already own a condenser (AT4040) and a dynamic mic (SM57). I record mostly acoustic stuff.. would another condenser or a another dynamic prove to come in more useful?

If it is true that the 57 and 58 are the same capsule then am i right in thinking that i could just change the grille to get desired 58 or 57 sound? or would they not fit?

Hey, I was trying to record with a 57 for the guitar and a condenser for my vocals, i noticed that when i turned on the phantom power the signal of the 57 became weaker - so much so that i had to blast up the gain - the noise was horrible! is this usual? Thanks
