    Hi Dave! My Girlfriend and soon to be Wife is from Rugby UK.. The factory Electro-Voice PL76-A Is NOT phantom powered unless someone re-wired it sometime in the past. That mic was AA battery powered when it was originally sold. 47 years of using them will prove me correct. Cheers..
