I got this link via my Sound on Sound subscription, watched it the other night and found it very interesting. I like the way he like to record bands together in the room, my favourite way of working. Also love his views on compression. Alan.

Maybe we called all of them portapaks because of the Sony one, mine looked like the image attached (not actually my old one), this was only half the setup there was another part the same size with the tuner. It can with a leather carry case with shoulder strap. All the people that bought one...

My studio computer which is by no means new, runs windows XP Pro due to some software needing XP Pro won't run on windows 7 or 10, but is reasonably fast, is suffering playback glitch problems when running Harrison Mixbus. All other software Reaper, Vegas, Sound forge, etc etc that I have loaded...

Gee I did not know they had been around this long? You answered a thread from 2003? 13 years ago, for the record I have 4 VTB-1's and love them.
