Here is my first Archive Showcase. I got the shaft alright! I was working with the singer on this project via his manager. They had zero budget so we worked out a deal that I would get a percentage of the rights when the music was done. I supplied the musicians for the job. The majority of...
Next Monday I am going to post a new set of songs. Actually they are some old stuff I engineered eons ago (some of it is actually good). This is the last week I will have my newest stuff on my idrive :( , so if you want to hear it, you better get listening.

I would have to say the vocalist did a lot better this time then in the past, but he still has aways to go.
gibs - I mainly record other people. I am going to try and colaberate with some friends on some material. Maybe I can get some vocal or guitar work in. To be honest, I have not had much...
Well, the studio is semi-functional. I recorded a song for a band last week and have another band booked for the next couple of weekends. I will post some pictures once I get a few more things completed. I will post the song from last week once I get a chance to mix it.
Well I finally posted some new MP3 files on my idrive: http://www.idrive.com visit "fishmed". It seems like idrive has been messing up lately, so you may need some patience.
Anyway... I put a new version of Zelot out there. I would like to know if this mix is better than the first. I left the...
If you have digital lightpipes connected from a PC card to an ADAT, can the ADAT be used as an A/D converter... basically recording straight to the PC and not to the ADAT?
If so, can you still monitor the signal through the ADAT's analog outputs?
 ...just curious!
Here is band I record several songs for last year. They have RealAdio files posted <Sorry> but you can get a idea of the songs and production.

I had already posted two of the songs as MP3 files...
Rode has now developed their NT3 which looks much like an AKG 1000. Musicians Friend will be selling it for $160 USD. I have no clue how good or bad it is. I assume that it will be a nice mic based on the other mics they have produced.
That is cool. I just don't care for the fade in/out during the song. I guess you did that to keep people from stealing your work, or just making the posted song shorter.

Well I broke down and ordered a Creative Labs DVD Ram to store my projects. The 5.2 GB storage media cost $39. That is $7.50 per GB. I have an HP CDR burner, but it makes more coasters than I know what to do with. Has anyone heard any pro's or con's about the DVD Ram system?
I bought mine for...
I think that you would get better results and be happier doing your own label. You will have more creative freedom that way. Distribution is about the only thing going for the big boys now, and even that is slipping. The Web is a great place to sell your music to many people around the world.
I know what crossovers are used for and how to use them. But I was wondering if anyone here has experimented with them in their studio. Has anyone ever split a single instrument, did whatever to the signals, then mixed them back to the mix of the song? What adverse or cool effects occured from...
I would use the gear that you have - Very good start! I would buy a MOTU 2408 ($875)for your PC interface. The reason why I suggest this interface over others is that it can connect up to three Alesis ADAT machines or three Tascam MultiTrack recorders (24 tracks). The 2408 has 8 unbalanced...
Here is a project that I did last summer. The band is called Soul Power and the two songs posted here are called "County Line" and "Blue Carpet Blues". These songs were produced for one to fall behind the other on their CD.
