well not "It"
but it's definitely something. It's really not my style but it's something until I'm satisfied with a guitar tone.

So, it's synth based. I'm sure the snare and solo doesn't fit with the song, and...
Are there any in depth articles someone could point me to on gain staging?
I read Massive master's article and Southside Glen's article but I still don't think I fully understand.
ANY info would be greatly appreciated - KoP
Why EZDrummer wouldn't show up as a VSTi in mixcraft?
Of course I know that not everyone uses mixcraft but I figured a VSTi not showing up would be a problem that any DAW could experience.
Ok, I've been using mixcraft for a while and I've come to the conclusion that it sucks.
I have Sonar 6 but I find it a bit difficult to use. on a separte note: If anyone knows of any good Sonar tutorials I'd give it a shot.
So here's my question: from best to worst, how are the user interfaces...
It's my understand that the differences (sonically) between class A and class A/B power amps is that Class A/B is a bit more compressed and Class A is a bit spongier and breaks up a fair bit easier than A/B.
Is that right?
So I got the hum problem figured out that I had in my last post in the guitar forum, but now I've noticed that when I'm playing clean sounds through my V-amp into the fx return I can still hear (only slightly) the distorted sound from the amps built in pre-amp. Now to me it's no big deal but to...
Ok so I got my first tube amp the other day and only problem is it's only a one channel amp with only a dirty tone. My plan is to split the guitar signal and run one into the amp's input and run the other through my v-amp (will upgrade to a better clean preamp later) and that into the amps FX...
I received a surround sound 95W power amp at 6 ohms, My plan is to sum the outputs and wire it to a 1/4" output to power my 4x12. My 4x12 is 8 ohms and from what I understand running 6 ohms into an 8 ohms cab shouldn't really cause a problem but is there any reason why summing the surround sound...
I've been looking for a diagram or some schematics for the peavey valveking footswitch. I didn't find one but what I did find could be just as good.
from what I understand is the footswitch is just a simple 2 push/pull switch with a stereo connector. both switches share the ground while one...
I found THIS site and I thought I should share it here. It has some DIY yourself pedal Ideas and some mod information for factory pedals.
I'm personally gonna make this within the next few days using a wooden enclosure and the few parts mentioned. I'm gonna avoid using the LED's because I...
Has anyone had any experiences with this amp?

If so, what was your impression of the amp?
i was at a concert the other night and saw that one of the guitar players had a case that held his mesa boogie head but it also had a rack built into it. i thought it was pretty neat and im thinking of buying one but i cant seem to find one on musicians friend.
very noob question: what would it...
im thinking of picking up a peavey valveking royal 8 tube amp tomorrow. it has an 8 inch speaker and i think like 1 preamp tube and 1 power amp tube, but i have a few questions...
1). are there any disadvantages to miking up an 8" speaker vs. a 12" speaker?
2). with only one 12AX7 and one EL84...
What's up guys? :D
I was reading some page on the interwebs that was saying that power amp saturation gives a guitar tone depth and character but I'm pretty sure that only applies to tube power amps, but maybe I'm wrong.
So is there any point in cranking a solid state power amp?
when i sit and listen to polished records that were tracked at some fancy studio and professionally mixed and mastered i often wonder if the guitar tones im hearing are the result of guitar tone + processing during tracking, mixing, and mastering or if thats just the way the guitar tone sounds...
