Thought I'd post an update, had a move around, added the Presonus 16.4.2 and swapped the Peavey PRM 308's for the NS10's (with new speakers)

Not much of a post - got the 16:4:2 yesterday with PT 9 and I'm in love, don't think I've been this excited / impressed with a bit of kit since I got my 238 in 1993. This thing is freaking awesome!!! It'll be a while before I'm bored :)

Theres my 2! They were not sold as a matched pair but I'd bet my beer money ya can't tell the difference! :) You get a nice case with the matched pair but apart from that you pay lots extra.

Well I wish I'd got his music class! I dug out the tape deck and some old masters!! Howling Dogs is from '86 and Forgotten is from '92, now I'm in full on nostalgia mode... wish I was better at labling my stuff. Tell you what tho... tape lasts well - even kept in a box in the garage!

Credit for the pic to TALKBASS.com A mic wrapped in foam or a towel is a common trick, you need to be very careful tho! Keep the mike hidden from the speakers and you should get plenty of gain. What pickup are you using? I use the Fullcircle with the Fishman Pre and it kicks plenty of volume...

Hi guys, I have an AKG solidtube and am in the main happy with it although I've read it is improved by removing the internal windshield. Anyone familliar with this process? I've had a look and can remove the bottom (valve access) but not the top. Any tips? Thanks
