with my four track I have to do the same thing, I think it's because there are two busses, a left and a right. traditionally odd is left and even is right. so when you record you only want to record to one buss, either the left or right, otherwise you'll get bleed through, but when you play it...

I was recording my guitar last night and really didn't like the sound I was getting with my sm57, so I mic'd it up with my sennheiser 421 and it sounded great. just wanted to let you all know. ametth

here's what I plan on doing: Record to 16 track analog tape, transfer all tracks to computer for editing, procesing etc...then mix down to either dat or tape again. what loss of quality should I expect going from tape to computer? if any? thanks. Ametth
