Recording sounds completely fine to me... you don't have a Recording issue... you just have an "expectation" issue where a Recording will equal a "Mixed" song, they don't. Mixing a song is a completely different skill and all the "best" mixes use Automation to their fullest. That's what usually...
The only thing you're missing, is that people Recording would most likely be using the Helix Native Software (which is what your HX Stomp Hardware is) instead of the Hardware because it's more flexible. There is little reason to use a direct recording of the actual Hardware itself when the...
I was also coming here to suggest some sort of "Automation", but I don't use Ableton or know what it can or can't do. "Automation" in Reaper could Turn On/Off FX and change Settings/Etc...
Yes, all of these other Options do exist. I personally use a Pre-roll of 2 bars (Metronome) when Recording in Reaper with Recording set to "Auto-Punch" Time Selection. I do still use a Footswitch or my Transport's Record Button though. Sometimes it is actually just easier to start with the...
Yes, but it all depends on what you already have. I've got a PreSonus Faderport v1 that has a Footswitch port that will Record/Stop on press. I've also got a Nektar Panorama P1 that has the same thing (but I've assigned that to Play/Stop). Basically, you need some sort of Control Device, or it...
Figure someone here is probably a Van Halen fan (I'm not but I've always liked this track, probably because it has no vocals... :P). Anyhow Van Halen is the Artist of the Month in May 2024 for the PRF Monthly Tribute Series, so I thought I'd give it a go over the weekend. Here is the result...
If you don't have your Serial Number and it's not in your Steinberg Account, and you don't have the Receipt from Steinberg, or Steinberg doesn't respond to you. You're most likely SOL. Reaper is better anyhow. Install Reaper for FREE and you can probably find a Cubase Skin if the look's a...
I don't see any screenshots, but if you have the proper path's set in Reaper's VST list... perhaps a "Re-Scan" will fix your issue. Also note that MODO Bass is a VSTi, so I don't know if you're looking for a VST or VST3.
Also... you should Install Reaper as a "Portable" install and it will keep all Reaper associated files in that D:\ folder and nothing on your C:\ drive.
I've got this same exact model and I had put it on a little "Demo Recording" Pedal Board that I made up for the purpose of being able to record in between periods while watching Hockey games in the living room. ;)
It's all being powered by a little Rockboard Battery pack... and this USB to 5v...
Definitely not going to get the warm response that the last couple tracks have gotten. ;) Thanks for listening anyhow! Recorded between 3/14/2024-3/24/2024 in Reaper 6.xx using ToneX.
Funny. Being a Black Metal fan and claiming that I'm "gatekeeping". I'm recording a Black Metal song right now, and I'm double tracking, because that's how you get the sound. If you care about your music... do it right. That's all I'm saying. There is no point to "shortcut" things that aren't...
