I am ready to buy my first soundcard. I am going to go with the SB Live because it's cheap and I need womething to get my feet wet with. I am just worried that the high pitched noise coming out of my speakers will not be solved with a new card. Do you think that the noise is because of the card...
I just read the review written by Dragon of Sound Forge XP and it sounds pretty good. It does'nt say anywhere how many tracks can be edited at the same time. I also went to their web site and it does'nt say there either. Can anyone here give me the answer to that?

Here's the deal, I open Cool Edit Pro, I open a real audio I downloaded, I click record on CE then click play. It will play and record andplay for about 10 seconds then it will quit playng but continue to record silence. I also try to record the file with Cakewalk but the same thing happens...

I have CW Home Studio 7.0 and the sound card that came with my PC.(I plan on upgrading my card soon.) I recorded MIDI percussion on track 1 then more percussion on another...
I have Cakewalk Home Studio 7 and would like to use Virtual Piano. When I try to open it I get a message that says that I need to install "midi=vpiano" in my system.ini file.
I install the driver then reboot my computer but I still get the message.
Any suggestions?

I went to the Event site and looke over the gina and layla cards. The only difference I see in the 2 are frequency response by ten hertz.
Does anyone know of any other differences?
I am prbably goung to get one or the other.
