When I export from Cubase I can only export the "stereo mix" file or "batch files" I think the only way to make separate stereo files of stems is to mute the tracks I dont want in the stem. Is that an acceptable way to make stem files?

Steinberg/Cubase claims Motherboard chipsets play a huge part in DAW performance, yet they recomend no list. They suggest contacting your interface manufacturer. I use a Focusrite Firewire setup, with the appropriate PCIe chipset. Does the motherboard chipset still matter?
