I'm currently using my computer speakers as monitors, and work pretty good.
They are pretty good speakers.
However, I am concerned on line noise, and was wondering if most folks have their monitors setup from their soundcard or from their mixer's (control room out)?
Hello:
I may want to upgrade from the integrated soundcard that I have right now, to something more dedicated to Home Recording. Is there anything out there that's less than $100 and worth buying?
Hello:
I may want to upgrade from the UB802 to the Yamaha.
Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of the Yamaha MG102?
Why would I want it or why not?
I asked this in the recording techniques forum, but I believe it's more appropriate here.
I need to stop proximity to the mic and the (poping) noise when saying words with the letter "p" or "f". Should I use both or just one of them?
Is this even the right forum for this question?
Which one should I use, I'm trying to prevent air and proximity should I use both?
P.S. I also posted this question in the Mic Forum - Just FYI
Yes, I am in love!
I tested the M58, the E835 and I went with the E835.
I also tested the MXL 990 'cause I felt that I needed to be so close to the E835 to hear my own voice, but after conferring with the other person who is going to be recording (my wife) we decided for the warmer microphone...
Yep,
UB802, E835, Blueberry cables and a mic stand.
A Y cable from 1/4" to 1/8"
Yeah the UB802 puts in some noise on the line but I can clean it out with the software. It makes it a little dry but the background music has a lot of stuff going on.
Oh! With the Mic boom, and the 20' cable...
I was able to record... Thanks Manning1
Hello:
Just finished spending $230 (UB802, 20' Blue Cable, E835, Y cable) and when I record I get the same results as I did with a Cheap Microphone.
Hello:
I'm trying to inform my self and price out whether I should end up buying my own CD Copying machine or go with the professionals that do it for a living.
I've been to several sites and they offer CD Duplication and CD Replication. I'm not sure I know what either is, and could anyone...
Hello:
I'm just reading the forum and see people talking about monitors, headphones, and so forth. I was wondering if the computer monitors (Altec Lasing) are good enough to work as monitors or should I just use headphones.
I'm not trying to do a Professional job I'm trying to do something...
Hello:
I have some music on CD that I want to add some vocals or mix vocals into it.
I am going to record the vocals with a UB802 and a E835 but I want to know if it's better to record the music by plugging a CD Player to the UB802 and go through the Soundcard or direclty from the Computer CD...
I've been trying to post this question for the last two days.
For my voice baritone to bass which one of these would be the best
microphone
EVI 635A
Shure SM58

P.S. Sorry for the edit but either due to my setting or the homerecording server I have to post quickly (a couple of...
Professional Sound studios require that I get a Firewire Hard Drive. I've been looking on line but I'm not exactly sure what I am looking for.
Any help appreciated.
Hello:
Does anyone know how Audacity (for 1/2 the cost of the others on sale) stack up against Cubase or Cakewalk?
If this question has been posted before I apologize in advance.
Hello,
I'm looking to get a low end microphone preamp with a budget of $50.00.
Does anyone know what would be good or at least good enough. I am just recording vocals (no singining just speach).
Thank you,
