True enough, but if the contractor specializes in a type of build, would'nt he know a bit about that type of build? And, if they see something on a print that is unusual or wrong, I think they'd be inclined to comment.

What is the entire signal chain? Is your guitar or whatever plugged into the RC-300 directly? Are the RC-300's outs going to something like computer software? Did you buy the RC-300 new?

I don't want to be the rain on the parade, but have you thought about using a computer to record with? It's a lot easier and way more possibilites are available. But I'm sure you know that. But at this point even Steve Albini admits that he wishes he'd learned how to use computers years...

I'm able, at this point, to record the acoustic first and then my vocal. I've recorded people who simply can't or won't do this, but in every case they were able to get things right fairly quickly. Doing things separately of course gives you total flexibilty as far as overdubds go.

The main reason to get ProTools is that it is the industry standard.
