    Tascam 24Sd

I'm pretty sure you can simply connect the output(s) of the Yamaha to any of the 8 inputs of the Tascam using T/S cable(s). Make sure the adjustable input control of the Tascam are adjusted fully counterclockwise to "Line". You can also get great support for using the Tascam here...

    Tascam 24Sd

Can you be more specific about what you're trying to accomplish? Are you wanting to send a signal from the Tascam DP-24SD into the Yamaha mixer? Or the other way around - sending an output from the Yamaha into the Tascam?

    UA Enigmatic (Dumble Overdrive Special)

I ordered this thing from Sweetwater just 2 days ago and it arrived this morning a day ahead of what FedEx was indicating. Just spent about an hour and a half with it just tweaking knobs and running through the presets with both my gold top LP and one of my strats. First impression is very...

    UA Enigmatic (Dumble Overdrive Special)

I'm looking forward to seeing if it's useful for my purposes. It's got ample tonal settings and variations which you can see in the following chart. If it doesnt work out - I'll dump it. No harm, no foul...

    UA Enigmatic (Dumble Overdrive Special)

Don't disagree - and definitely not arguing that point. I own a couple of great tube amps right now - and have owned several others over the years - including a vintage Plexi Super Lead (sold that 30 years ago - wish I hadn't simply for $$ appreciation factor). But for my purposes of wanting...

    UA Enigmatic (Dumble Overdrive Special)

I'd posted about the UA Lion. Which I've been wearing out as time allows. Just a KILLER fun, usable Plexi modeler. Just yesterday UA finally released their Dumble Overdrive Special modeler (Enigmatic). Just a couple days after enjoying this really fun video from Tim Pierce demo'ing the...

So.... not a myth. :thumbs up: :-)

Guitar 'truths" that you believe are myths

Am I mistaken - that pickups can be radically different? ("radical" is a relative term - but we could just as well say "extremely" different) I'm pretty sure that that is not a myth.

    Nothing

It'd be nice if you would - once and for all - explain to the forum *exactly* how this was created. Specifically. Why are you being so cryptic? It's annoying. I want to learn how this was done. Not figure out a puzzle. Good grief.

    Rockman

A little late to the meeting here. I never got the Rockman. I borrowed one a couple of times back in the day and it just didn't work for what I was interested in. I was more drawn to JCM800-ish tones during that period. (Of course, I outgrew that eventually) Obviously - if you knew what you...

    Best Mixing Advice

The bands I've played in - fun and rewarding - but when it became not fun - I stepped away. And they went on without me. Similarly- when recording at the house - when I get burnt and I'm not having fun things get put on hold. Arranging and tracking is pretty much always fun for me. But as...

    Best Mixing Advice

I started having more fun with recording by getting over the fear of "what to do?" and "how do I do it?" and just start turning knobs, throwing stuff down, experimenting like a mad scientist. That was a bit of a breakthrough for me. Especially with things like EQ and compression. Max out...
