Here is an mp3 of those files - recorded on my Tascam DP-32SD - and with the channels set for mid-side "stereo" technique. I get a good stereo type image when you're in the middle - and the left and right tests of your voice work as expected. I of course did check each file in it's raw form...

It'll work just fine. Never been an issue on the Roland or Tascam standalones.

I haven't read every word of this thread - if no one else has - and because this problem is persisting - I wanted to recommend that you start with a fresh virgin project. No template. Just raw, initial Reaper settings- and see what the results are. Apologies if I've missed something -...

Mix sounds good on my playbacks. Love that bass gtr sound. I dig how you let that intro ride for a full minute before the lyrics kick in. Nice touch and works for this track. That was fun. :thumbs up:

I'm reading that the attack time for that compressor is program dependent - and not adjustable? If it's not fast enough to grab those transients - it may not be the right compressor for your drum track. I'm no expert on this subject - but you may need something faster. For instance - I know...

I don't know anything about that compressor - but I'm curious. Are you using the hardware version or the plugin?
