    Copyright for NFT

That's for when you're a publisher representing multiple artists who are affiliated with the different PROs I'm looking at my (songwriter) agreement with BMI right now, and it says that all my songs - or shares of songs - have to be registered through them, and that no other PRO is to have...

    Copyright House, any good?

Distrokid does not register your copyright for you. A SKU is not a copyright registration. While DK's service is good for getting your music onto the major streaming platforms. However, if your concern is making sure no one can rip-off your song, that is not a service they offer. What country...

How do I get the volume like a “regular” song?

There's sort of two answers here: 1 is "mastering". part of the mastering process is usually adding compression/limiting to get the overall volume of the project to the optimal level for the media it's being released in. 2 is "you don't". From the early 2000s through the late 2010s, the...

    Copyright House, any good?

I probably should have been more clear: I meant "protect" in the sense of being able to bring suit. Without registering your copyright, you are not able to sue someone for copyright violation. I don't know what happens if you try to register your copyright after you notice a violation, but I...

    Copyright for NFT

Yes, they offer the same service. They also have exclusivity in their terms, so you would have to cancel your BMI account to get an ASCAP one. I'd recommend sticking with BMI.

    Copyright House, any good?

edit: I just noticed your username and see this is a follow-up to your previous copyright post. In that case, I have no new info to give that you don't already have from that thread. (Original reply follows) Where are you located? If you're in the US, the only way to protect your copyright is...

Legaly posting cover songs on youtube?

For most music, Youtube has already negotiated the sync licensing. I think it will auto-detect the song based on video title, etc. Then YT will automatically put the ads on it and route the monetization to the owners

    Copyright for NFT

This is a good idea (tho I recommend BMI; I did not like ASCAP), but it's worth being aware that this is not registering your copyright. This helps you get paid for some default licensing things, but if someone rips off your song, your PRO registration won't help you sue them What do you think...

    Copyright for NFT

US copyright law says that you own the copyright immediately, but you cannot take action against infringers without registering the copyright. IANaL, so I don't know if you can get away with registering your copyright after you notice someone infringing on it. Also, I know it's not your...

    Bass & Treble In Windows

For anyone doing home recording on Windows, that's probably good that they removed it. Few things are worse than trying to review your new mix, and not realizing that windows went ahead and colored your playback without making it obvious. As far as I know, what @ecc83 described using the...

    Problems with audacity

Did you try renaming the files to have .aup extensions again? (You might need turn off the "hide extensions for known file types" option in your windows settings) What happens when you open one of these files with Audacity?

    Snare bleed through overheads

Usually the snare should be in the OHs. If it's overpowering, I guess the only option is keep trying new mic positions until you find one that's balanced. Do you have a room mic? how's the snare balance in that?

Leaving Shure SM58 Plugged in Focusrite Audio Interface

I can't see how it would. It's not like there's much of a current going through it.

5 string bass tuner ~ is it just me ?

I've often found that tuners have trouble detecting on a low B. Do you play the string open or do you play the 12th fret harmonic? Also, it may be worth just bringing your bass in for a professional setup.

    Decode a .wav file..?

If it's a correctly-formatted wav, your DAW should be able to display that data If it's incorrectly formatted, then use the "import raw" feature in Audacity and keep re-importing the file using different settings until it's correct (e.g. not sped up or slowed down or distorted)

    Music video credits question

Ask your filmographer how they want to be credited, I suppose. Do they feel like they were just running the camera? Or were they making artistic decisions about the shots, action, etc? I assume they're a different person from your editor?

    Re-Amp with DI

From what I understand, a ReAMP circuit basically is just a DI circuit run backwards. I can't picture it hurting anything, but you'll also have to do some wonky things with F to F XLRs to even connect it. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to put a meter in there to see what the levels going to and...
