Yes thinking about shortening that intro section half as long. Trying to emulate the Tragically Hip on this one which is proving difficult but will keep on it.
thanks for the input
Well let’s see if I’ve learned anything in the past 6 months. This one is not finished but I thought I’d start early getting advice on the mix
cheers. Guy
@dachay2tnr I was actually thinking that a solo might help convey the emotions of the song if done sympathetically enough. Not really too concerned with the song length. It’s also really good just left as is. Cheers
Sometimes my music partner will record some ideas and then put the .wav file into a shared DB folder. I just copy to a usb drive then walk it down to the studio where I can drag in DAW and work with it. This way I can keep my old recording laptop isolated from the inter web where I’m sure it...
I put the file on a flash drive then took it upstairs to my regular computer that has email and everything else. Drop box app is on everything and once you put it in it shows up everywhere. Also works good for sharing larger files with band mates as they can be invited to a specific folder in...
I occasionally email a song to myself then I click on it and put in my file folder. From there I can listen or move it around as needed. That’s how I get my mp3 files on to the forum, like RFR I’m not connected to the inter web with any recording gear.
edit:
oh yah for the larger wave files I...
What are you recording on? I use the zoom R24 but send everything to the DAW for mixing, effects etc. Don’t do any mixing or editing on the Zoom

Duh L20. Geez I’m observant.
Yah it is hard to hear the lyrics in that one. You’ve got the old style country music nailed. Like Dude country isn’t very high on my list of favourites but if I do listen it will probably be something old. Your Cheating Heart works for me.
A stem is a recording or track that you combine with other stems to make the overall production ( uh I think ) just another way of saying track.
Country music has changed a lot over the years, do you think there is a market for this style or are you expecting someone to modernize these songs...
Thanks for posting that CB, I enjoyed that old style country sound. I think you better slow down a bit and take Dave's advice, so as to not ruin or lose any of the stems.
