    Worrisome

I like the sound stage. Great backup vocals! That must of been tricky. My only nits would be I find the main vocal line pokes out a lot (for example Deep DOWN and we're READY'), I find the Down and Ready words disproportionately loud. Maybe a faster compressor attack, if there is one on it...

dobro: Mic choice is tricky for sure. So many variables, but like all things recording, if you can get your best from the get-go, that's optimal. I don't record in an optimal room, with optimal equipment or skills. My approach to bass really depends on its role in the song. Most of what I...

PorterhouseMusic: It was one of two different things, or possibly a combination. I did initially start to record this with a miced up Wangs 1987 (Marshall Clone). But I also used Scuffhams (use to work for Marshall) S-Gear modeler, but not as a VST plugin. I used another computer, with...

Great singer. The enunciation could be better, but that might just be a style thing. I like the jazzy undertones in various sections. Cool stuff.

spantini: Thanks for checking it out. I do hear a blip of some sort at 1:09, you have good ears. Possibly a noise on a track that hasn't been cleaned up, or maybe the mp3 conversion introduced it. I don't hear anything at 1:34 though, except possibly the drum part wasn't executed as well as...

    Opinions please.

Bit of a rough mix, but would certainly appreciate feedback. Sounds a bit 'tubby', and lo-fi, but I think it has some potential. Previously, I was 'emeric' on this site, (still am in real life), but haven't posted in a very, very, long time. Thanks for listening to it!

Alright what do ns10s sound like?

Wow 6 pages on a Yamaha speaker. I had a pair of them in the early 90's. They were OK. To answer your question, 'how did they sound?' They sounded 'OK'. They are small little speakers, so not sure what exactly people expect out of them. They had a reasonably flat response, but outside of...

Ok, managed to navigate to the song now. It's a very hypnotic song Irwin, my only critique would be that I find the reverb a little heavy on the vocal. It would be interesting to hear it with that dialed back a bit.

Thanks Talisman. Perhaps he/she should change his presentation of his post. Remove all the other linkage / tags / signature and focus on the topic that is relevant - the song.

Hi Irwin, I can't listen to the entire song before it blips into the next song on your spotify account. It's 2023, I think even HR.com allows you to post a link to the song you want feedback on. Instead of your entire catalog.

"The Reason" Song - Requesting a feedback

Great singer. I don't hear any overuse of delay or reverb on anything. It could use something though. Interesting how you keep the same chord progression for bridge / chorus / verse. Enjoyed it.

You have a good song structure and melody going on. With practically 'any' real drum track it would sound a 1000X better. You have a good, very organic song going on here, and the drum machine doesn't help it along. EL

    Taco Night

On my 4th listen, I see what you are playing now. Tricky balance between over playing and playing well.

I remember you TripleM Sounds good, reminded me of the Ramones off the start but settled into your own thing after. Might be worth trying some 8th notes on the bass guitar line to drive the song along maybe? Bass is kinda static as is. Retro, I like it. Emeric

    Manslick - Poor Boy

Not much to say but wow. Great singing. I'm a sucker for descending chord patterns, and minor keys. My only criticism would be that the song could be a minute or two shorter. But hey, I'm still listening to it, so you got something going right.

Manslick - I saw your son

OK, I listened to some of your other posts. You are more then capable of producing it up, if you like. :)

Manslick - I saw your son

You have a really good voice. It reminded me a bit of Chris Cornell mixed with Muddy Waters. Tough thing to pull off, a cappella, but you do it very well. Have you considered producing it up? EL

    Building an Audio Recording PC

I'm a bit out of touch with recording on computers, but not out of touch with computers. There probably are a ton of resources out there that may suggest specifications for a DAW. I googled it, and the first link gave computer specifications from about 25 years ago... From personal...
