OK, so I've got a couple of Randall Iso-Cabs, each with a 12, but different speakers.
I would like to build essentially an iso-cab, or even a booth, to put each one of them in. Double isolation, if you will.
I'd rather they be cabs to take up the least amount of room possible, and I could have...
I need to find one. It's for a Behri tube screamer clone, so if it's not cheap, it won't be worth it.
Heck, it probably won't be worth the effort, but I won't know until I fix it.
I'm assuming mastering has changed in the era of mp3s through earbuds.
Used to be, there were basically 2 masters, one for radio (assuming the car) and one for the home.
Now everything's either mp3, usually through earbuds, or cable TV, possibly through a soundbar.
So, how has this changed...
First off, I'm not a drummer, never will be. I don't have the coordination, never will. My hat's off to you guys.
All I want to do is two things.
1) Lay down individual parts (layer one drum or cymbal part at a time) to build and flesh out my own stuff, using midi so I can pick whatever...
By chance I happened to read the previous questions about soldering irons, and it got me to thinking. (I know, I actually do that on occasion)
A newbie question that's probably been asked about a thousand times but, what are the appropriate wattages for our common applications?
What wattage...
I would suggest, if you can, to give a couple of DI pedals a try. One would be the venerable SansAmp Bass DI, the other being the SansAmp SVT DI. That's all I got.
Title says it.
I know if it gets gunky and you do a thorough cleaning, which would be based on how often it gets played, but aside from that, do you just do it when you think it looks obviously dried out?
I haven't asked a silly question in a while, and this place obviously needed one.
Does anyone know if there's a tried and true formula for backgrounds (colors, etc.) and angles for photographing guitars to sell online? Or does it depend on the color of the guitar? Do you want complimentary colors, or high contrast?
Keep in mind, of course, that I'm kind of colorblind. :D
I have two. One I bought used, and one I bought brand-new.
The lid hinges have bent on both. Randall says they don't do replacement parts for that, so I'll have to put some on from a hardware store.
Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this, and if so, what they did about it.
I got a Proline kit at GC that has pickup rings and hardware for two humbuckers.
When I tried to add a ring, the pickup adjustment screws screwed into the pickup's holes just fine, but then they pulled back up when I put tension on them.
They're just the tiniest bit smaller than the screw that...
Yay or nay?
If you don't have a whammy bar, is there really any benefit?
And how about graphite saddles? I've got a feeling those might actually be helpful, but I've never had any so I don't really know. Will they really help you stay in tune if you're a big bender?
OK, so I've got this Epi SG that I need a cavity cover for, as well as the little plastic piece that goes between the end of the neck and the neck pickup ring.
Where do you find something like that? And being an Epi, what fits one Epi doesn't necessarily fit another.
Do I have to just get a...
