I'm with spantini on this one. Not crazy about the intro, but around :38 it gets very nice. Catchy. Pleasant to listen to. Keep at it.

Mix-wise, too much reverb on the instrument tracks, and probably not enough on the vocal. The vocal sounds pretty dry, which I like, but it puts it in a different space the the rest of the recording. I used to fool around quite a bit with MIDI. But no idea you could do a vocal with it. :o...

This grew on me as it played. I agree with 3M, the vocal got better as the song went along. The mix is a little too in your face for me. Maybe back off the limiter a bit and give it some air. Particularly in this genre. Vocal could use maybe just a tad more reverb. Catchy.

Just checked Reaper. $60. Not bad at all. I think I paid around $500 for Pro Audio 9, and then a few more shekels over the years for upgrades. But I don’t deal well with new learning curves at my age. If CbB puts the new Sonar out at a similar price, I might go for that. In the meantime...
