Hey folks, here's a brand new one Incanus wrote. That's him playing bass and most of the rhythm guitars. This is the very first mix, so please feel free to throw in your two cents about whatever you like. There is eventually going to be a guitar solo after the quiet section - I know it...

Incanus on the bass and rhythm guitars.
Drum mics were two C1000 overhead and a 57 on the kick and snare each.
How's this mix?
It was our first project with our new gear and we didn't want to "ruin" one of our own songs in the process. The drums, I know they sound terrible etc.... And the vocals are a little pitchy too. We aren't going to put this on the record and after all y'all are the only ones that'll hear it, so...
Our newest song. Mostly new drum mics... Incanus plays bass and rhythm guitars. I think the overall sound is an improvement. What do you think?

Incanus and I wrote and recorded this song together. It's called Radio and it was the last of our songs recorded on our "bad" microphones. I think it cleaned up ok. Any suggestions for improvement are welcome.

We remixed our other songs there too as...
Icanus and I are going to remix this song Monday. Any suggestions for us? Be as creative as you want, this song is pretty raw.

Picked one up yesterday for the studio.
25 sounds, 8-10 of them very useful. Strumming the Acoustic sounds is a little to piezo for me, but if you pick carefully, the models are very good. All in all a fantastic value for 500 bucks. I'll use it just for color, I've got some nice guitars -...
Hi!!
I've got a Twin Q's digital out hooked up to a MOTU 896HD outputting to a DAW running Sonar 4. I'm hearing lots of noise... like tape hiss. Because there is an input and output gain, is the noise just a function of signal to noise ratio? Meaning, should I just try to get the highest...
