I don't know what a postrable vst is. However I know that some vsts can be installed simply by copying a DLL file into a plugins folder, whereas other may have samples or other data that needs to accompany the DLL,and these require an installer to make sure everything goes into the right places.
Voice is great, song is fine, but,as you say, it lacks sparkle. The instruments don't emjoy much top end life. You might like to try a different pallette of sparkle into the backing.
Ths pic shows the relevatnt section you need to look at.
To be able to hear material you are sending to the RCA inputs, you will need to have the red 2trk/USB button pressed as the source, and then the red 2trk/USB to main button pressed. The level coming out will be determined by the main mix...
You will need to check the routing of the 2trk/USB inputs and outputs. There are going to be buttons that determine whether you are using USB or 2 trk, and to where you want to send therm.
While my working surfaces are pretty good, the area behind the desk isn't. I have tidiness purges every now and again and sort and bundle all the leads and cables back there in that jungle. But no sooner do I do that than I find I have to isolate and pull out a lead for some reason, and...
I developed my fondness for pedal steel when I discovered B J Cole. He plays classical music on pdeal steel, and one of my often played albums is Transparent Music.
Here is a video of him demonstrating pedal steel and paying Claire de la Lune.
If you have smartphone you can try that. Keep in mind that any respectable tutor would be able to identify elements of your playing technique from stuff that you send, even if the quality isn't the best.
However, if you want to go further with recordinging, then you would need to do as Spantini...
I don't recall that particular project.
I do recall a couple of songwriting projects many years ago. One was where people put up words for songs. They were then paired with somebody else who had to write the music and record the song.
I tend not to worry about the words, so long as what I'm hearing in the way of vocal sounds and syllables is consistent with the nature of the music. Sometimes the words will intrude. That's usually because (a) they are so bana they make me cringe, (b) they do not fit with the song, or (c) I...
Nicely done. I too find the bass a bit dominant. However it give it a tango feel, which you could capitalise on by developing a more latin percussion track. I think I can hear some congas (or similar) in the back which could come forward. Vocal arrangement is great.
What Keith says ^^ above. You can go straight from interface to speakers and control the level from the interface. If the mixer is not being used for other tasks, then you can reduce complications by eliminating it.
