My Mando looks like this

You can reproduce the pickguard by first taping a thin piece of tracing paper over the top so it can’t move. Then using a pencil you can make a side to side motion with the pencil lead over the paper along the edge of the inlay cavity. This will leave a line that matches the pattern exactly. Then with scissors you can now cut the paper to make a template. Then transfer that pattern to your new .040” thick tortoise celluloid blank. That too can be cut with scissors but cut it a little proud and then use files or sanding blocks to shape it to fit.

So, this one is finished.
Looks really nice to me. It's a very nice player. Noiseless. No hum and no buzz, But I think the 3 SD SSL-1s are just too flat for my taste.
So, on to my next adventure
A Strat Player II MIM black body, and a Lindy Frailin Vintage Hot Strat set. Pre-wired.
I'll use the roasted maple neck from this one and replace it with a Mighty Mite ebony neck from another build.

Thanks, I do like it. I might take it for a better ride tomorrow or so. I didn't give it much of a workout.

FINALLY FINISHED!!!
I started this in May, and I'm done July 1. I swear I will NEVER do this again.
It's very nice, and I'm not unhappy. Not what I expected from Frailins, Extremely quacky, but I need to give it more time.
Their "blended" bridge option is very interesting. The middle position is for the middle pp ONLY. Any other position, I have the option of "dialing in" the bridge pup, to the neck or the middle. This will take some getting used to, but I'm not unhappy.
So, dollar wise, was this worth it?
Neck: 250$ US
Body: 400$ US
PUPs: 400$ US
Bridge: 150$ US
1200$ US Total.

Will I ever get my $$ back?

It is very pretty. And it plays very nicely. I don't remember who told me about the problems with a "6 point" bridge, but he was totally correct. THAT was a good days work on that bridge.
What I considered was his suggestion to float the bridge, which I tried. Unfortunately, the trem arm that came with the bridge DOESN"T screw into the bridge. I have no idea why.
If my PRS didn't have a trem, I would bitch. But, I'm done.
Nonetheless, I appreciate your comment. It is a beauty.

Nice! Classic looking Strat, I'd love to hear some clips of those pickups, IU'm really happy with my current sets but I've never played Fralins...

Good Looking Stratocaster - My favorite kind Black with a White Pickguard and Maple Neck - but you didn’t figure in the cost of tuning gears - unless that was included in the neck price?

Thanks. I needed one to go with the white one (Olympic white).
As I recall, the neck came with the machines. Both my maple Strat necks have Fender machines.
However, I prefer Grovers. I use those on al the "upgraded" guitars I have. And Seymour Duncans. This is my first foray into Lindy Fralins.
It's growing on me. It has a very nice feel to it.
