    Famous Singers and their Mics

I might be wrong, but aren't the old mics engineered, developed, and manufactured in Germany way back when, the most expensive? If so, those old Germans sure knew how to build things. Don Henly had a video back in the 80's that starred, Kirk Douglas, who played the devil/satan. Can't remember...

A question for Greg (and anyone else who want's to chime in)

Are you talking about the band, Light Years?Gregg, myself and several more B.R. musicians all used to live in that neighborhood behind Bon Marche mall before it went to shit. Those were some good days. We all had gigs every night and slept every day! LOL!

I didn't know you even knew who GW is. Still the best guitarist I've ever known. I let him borrow one of my Marshall's many years ago after he'd blown his up. It's a shame he never got the recognition he deserved.

It takes several hours at a pretty decent volume level to break them in right.

    Varieties of P-90s

That's a Klon pedal. And it really is a good pedal. They're overpriced in my oplnion, but what isn't! There are several clones that are just as good. One is the Soul Food by Electro-Harmonix. Excellent pedal that you can pick for 60 or 70 bucks new. If you have a good amp the Klon and it's...

    Varieties of P-90s

He buys mid 70's LPs with mini-hums and has his tech put in Seymour Duncan Antiquities P-90s. They're interchangeable and require no alterations to the LPs.

Is SM57 a good (enough) mic for live electric guitar recording in small room?

I still have three or four that I bought in the early 80's that're still going strong.:thumbs up:

    Varieties of P-90s

Because he can buy LPs with mini-hums cheaper, and because he likes the way they sound. I think he uses Seymour Duncan's.

    Varieties of P-90s

Mike Ness from the band, Social Distortion, buys Les Pauls with mini-hums, removes them(mini-hums) and replaces them with P-90s. There's a reason he does that.:listeningmusic:

Suggested versatile keyboard for about $1000 give or take (hopefully less)

You can get a good midi-controller that will give you access to hundreds of thousands of voices. You can get a good DAW(Reaper) for $60.00. You could also lay down drum, bass, etc. tracks. And you'd save a lot of money.
