Thanks! I got an answer on the Cakewalk forum about the right-click to lasso the clips. You'd think I would've figure that out....
Just curious: how do you not use take lanes? I feel like there's no real way around using them unless you always delete old takes. Do you not comp tracks?
Howdy, all. I tried doing a search about this issue, but I don't think I'm using the right terms. Here are my problems as best as I can explain it:
I jumped from Sonar 8, PE to Sonar X3 (and am now on Platinum). There was a bit of a learning curve, but all-in-all, I mostly dig the features in...
The thread that would not die . . .
Where are you located, Reesho? There's an excellent pro audio repair place in Chicago called Deltronics (Welcome to Deltronics Pro Audio Repair home page) that can fix damn near anything. Unfortunately they recently raised their bench fee to $50. It is...
Up for Sale is a Behringer EURODESK SX4882 Mixer in excellent condition. Mixer was only used for a short time in a smoke-free studio. This item goes for $1500 brand new.
I know Behri gets a bum wrap, but this thing doesn't sound too bad considering all the options you get . . . and this thing...
FYI, the Saffire Pro 26 gives you 26 Inputs and 26 Outputs: 8 analog I/O (the 8 inputs are all XLR mic pres or line input), 16 ADAT I/O, and 2 S/PDIF I/O.
The metronome was off. In a Hail-Mary, I disabled all of my MIDI devices and that did the trick. It would also sound a different note when I muted a track while the song was playing. Weird.
The only thing I can think that caused it is that I use a Frontier TranzPort wireless controller...
Hey, guys. I apologize in advance as I didn't search this very well, but I am on my phone and in the middle of a session...
I've been using Sonar 8 PE for years and this is the first time it's done this. When I press record, a MIDI piano note sounds. I have no idea why/how it does this...
The Saffire Pro 26 lets you use inputs 5 and 6 as inserts for channels 1 and 2 (routes the signal from preamp of 1 thru whatever is connected to 5, then to the DAW). I use an RNC, too, and insert it into 1 or 2. I glanced through the Saffire Pro 40 manual, and it doesn't look like it can do...
I ended up taking it in to get fixed to a little mom & pop electronics repair place. It was something mechanical (I don't remember what, exactly). They fixed it for $100. So a $100 eBay purchase ended up costing me another $100 . . . oh well. It still works, though with computers and hard...
I agree with Washburn. If you like the pre's and are comfortable with the Tascam, then the Delta 44 would work great for you. Just route the four subgroups to the four inputs of the Delta and you're good to go. That makes routing easier to, as you can leave eight mic's hooked up to the mixer...
Just to be clear, the Frontier AlphaTrack is a control surface and not an audio interface. It's basically the transport section plus an "adjustable" track control (meaning that it has one slider that can be assigned to the track of your choosing).
That said, I do own the AlphaTrack and use it...
Boy this thread has got some legs, eh?
So, to those of you that do use the VM Pro, how do you like it. I see one right now on ebay for super cheap. Like half-price cheap. Should I snag it?
Thoughts? Criticisms (of the VM Pro, not me)?
Thanks!
Bill
That's what I was intending. I just want some input as to whether it'd be more trouble than it's worth. Also, what materials (jacks, wires, etc.) I should be looking at.
