    Is this right?

Except the US2400 is USB only, not Firewire. Other than that, It's almost exactly what I have.

    sequencing drums... what software?

I use Reason for Drums and Synths. It's got a pretty decent drum machine (that you can use your own samples with) and a bunch of synth. It also has a built in mixer so you can pan the drums anyway you like. Finally I patch a stereo mix via ReWire into Sonar and that is it. You can download a...

    Sonar XL and Reason 2.0

This is how I do it: Launch Sonar Launch Reason (this puts it into Rewire mode) Select the gear and patch in reason. Create an Audio Track from the output of Reason Play and record. Works for me. Edit: sorry...you still need to have reason in rewire for this to work.

Ahh yes...Cheeze! It's cool. I'd be the first to admit it :) Thanks for the replys...I've had some time to listen again and I am going to make some adjustments later tonight (lower the guitars and re-eq the bass and possibly re record the backup vocals AGAIN!) . The lead vocal is not me, he...

My first attempt...please have a listen

Wow...I guess the vocals need to come up! :P The guitar was recorded with a Tubeworks TubeDriver Amp, using an SM57, into a Behringer MX602A mixer, into a SBlive. I see what you mean about muddy now. I was listening to the final mix on my PC speakers (Altec Cube 3 speaker) and it sounded...

My first attempt...please have a listen

Great! Thanks for the feedback. I am not exactly sure what is contributing to the muddiness myself. I just realised that the guitar tracks were also from the original session. We tried to redo them but couldn't get the same sound, I think we got lucky once. Hopefully we will be finishing...

My first attempt...please have a listen

That is exactly what I am going to do. When I said add guitars, I meant to the break section and some leads over the end. Then redo the vox.

My first attempt...please have a listen

Yeah...I am having the hardest time with the vocals. The lead really needs to be done over as it really doesn't sound that good (could it be the SCM900???) Yeah, I know that mic sucks but for $50...I knew what I was getting into. All the tracks were recorded through a Behringer MX602A...

My first attempt...please have a listen

Here is my first attempt at home recording. Lots of great info at this site. I thank all those who contribute. http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/album.php?aid=2674&alid=-1 It's not complete yet but it's getting there. Scratch vocals on some parts and missing a guitar or two :) Let me...
