I've tried Songwriter LE, it's free but it's limited. What I think best now is Garagaband for IOS. It's just $4.99. What's best about it is we can export it to Garagaband project files for further touch up. I don't use Garagaband for Mac, but fortunately Logic Pro can open the .band file...

Yes, the idea come from when I watch some people record vocal in a small cupboard that they modified into a "vocal booth". I never record in the studio hence I'll never know what's the different of the results.
